As the popularity of sport and other sponsorships has grown exponentially, so to have the number of
sponsorship proposals. Some companies are presented with well over 100 sport sponsorship
proposals annually. The shift in advertising spends from traditional mediums to social and digital
media coupled with the increased number of sponsorship requests, has made it necessary for rights
holders to not only maximise their value offering but further provide credible third-party valuations
to back up the demands.
